Stadium

North Wales Crusaders play their matches at the Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium. On matchday’s North Wales Crusaders currently use the modern, Mold Road stand.

The stadium is amongst the world’s oldest currently in use, having hosted the first ever Welsh home football international match in 1877.

Glyndŵr University acquired the stadium, the home of North Wales Crusaders and Wrexham FC, in July 2011.

As well as safeguarding a key community asset for North East Wales, the move offers the university many opportunities to improve academic provision and student experience.

The stadium will also be the centrepiece for the development of sport-based community outreach programmes with partners who currently use the stadium.
